Since 2023, Prague Music Week has brought together artists, industry leaders, innovators and fans from across Europe. What started as a new platform for the music industry has grown into one of the leading music conferences and festivals in Central Europe.

 

2025

Hear the Future

 

The third edition explored the future of music through technology, creativity and emerging generations. With the theme Hear the Future, we focused on younger generations and the forces shaping the future of the music industry.

With its largest programme to date, Prague Music Week welcomed international guests, groundbreaking discussions in Prague Exhibition Grounds and unforgettable performances. 

PMW Festival introduced a new format, featuring one opening concert at SaSaZu (Käärijä) alongside a series of smaller showcases at Rock Café and Klub FAMU, some of which emerged from an open call.

 

PMW Awards: Voting in seven categories was carried out by experts – members of associations such as the FESTAS Festival Association, the Czech Association of Festivals (ČAF), the OSA, INTERGRAM, and OAZA councils, the Union of Authors and Performers (SAI), BACH, Music Managers Forum Czech Republic, music journalists, and experts from the music sector and also there was one extra category that public voted for.

2024

All You Need Is Music… And Money!

 

 

The second edition moved to Výstaviště Holešovice and expanded both in scale and ambition. Inspired by the theme All You Need Is Music... And Money!, the organisers explored one of the industry's key questions: where the money is in music, and how to find and secure it.

We welcomed many  visitors, introduced the Prague Music  Week Awards and transformed Prague into a city-wide music hub. 

The first edition of the PMW Awards honoured outstanding achievements in the Czech music industry in 2024. The professional public - members of associations such as the Festival Association FESTAS, the Czech Association of Festivals ČAF, the Association of Authors and Performers SAI, the boards of OSA and INTERGRAM, BACH, MMF, music publicists and others - voted in seven categories. Plus the fans voted for the best music event of 2024.

2023

The Beginning

 

The first edition of Prague Music Week laid the foundations for a new meeting point for music and innovation in Central Europe. Hosted at the National House in Smíchov, the event connected professionals, artists and music enthusiasts through conferences, showcases and networking.
