A professional association with more than a century of tradition, founded in 1919 and still owned by Czech music authors. We ensure that composers, lyricists, and music publishers receive fair remuneration for the use of their works. As a collective administrator, we represent over 12,000 domestic authors and, through international agreements, we protect the work of nearly 5 million authors from around the world. We provide licensing agreements for concert organizers, restaurants or businesses, digital services, radio or TV broadcasters. Thanks to the Partnership grant project, we support more than 450 music projects every year, actively developing Czech music culture. In cooperation with Czech Television, we award the OSA Annual Awards to Czech music authors. We also publish music magazine Autor in, which is not only for authors. Party harm reduction (Phr) is a program of the non-profit organization Progressive o. p. s., based in Prague, which has been active in the field of prevention and harm reduction related to the use of psychoactive substances since 2003. The team of professionals and volunteers works directly within the environment of music events, clubs, and festivals. Phr helps prevent risks commonly associated with these settings, such as dehydration, exhaustion, severe intoxication, crisis situations, sexual violence, and spiking. When needed, the team is ready to provide first aid, crisis intervention, emotional support, and a safe space for recovery. Phr provides information on safer partying, psychoactive substances, and their effects, distributes harm reduction materials, and encourages visitors to make more informed and responsible decisions. An important part of the work includes monitoring the event environment to identify potential problems early and respond appropriately. The program also cooperates with event and club organizers, helping them create safer conditions for visitors, performers, and employees. It also offers training sessions for organizers and staff focused on harm reduction, first aid, and safer event management. The goal of the program is to ensure that people can enjoy music and nightlife freely, responsibly, and in a safe environment.
